So, Maritime CleanTech, how was it for you?

What was the highlight of Nor-Shipping 2022 for your company?
For us it was when our industry partners took to the stage, introducing breakthrough technologies for cleaner maritime activities. We had our own stage in the middle of the Blue Economy hall, where several of our partners hosted events. Each time someone got up and started talking, you could see curious crowds gathering to hear more.
What was the main focus of your Nor-Shipping activity?
Our main focus was making our partners shine, while showcasing greener shipping possibilities. The industry needs to collaborate to address the green transition across the value chain. Our goal was to highlight this to the Nor-Shipping audience. We therefore made sure to promote and invite relevant partners to our events. Nor-Shipping is an important arena for us to showcase many of the green innovations and initiatives that are going on in our dynamic cluster.
What surprised you about Nor-Shipping 2022?
2022 was a bit of a special year, as I’m sure we can all appreciate. We were therefore not sure what to expect in terms of participants and visitors, but the fair proved to be full of life. Part of the reason for participating is, for many, the networking effects, which we also found to be really good in 2022. We’re more than ready to meet again in Oslo next June!
Why is Nor-Shipping such an important fixture on the industry event calendar?
What really stands out with Nor-Shipping, is the focus on greener technologies and the disruptive possibilities within our industry. We also like fact that digital solutions, which can transform shipping to more energy-efficient operations, are pushed into the spotlight. The Nor-Shipping programme is forward-looking and addresses the joint challenges our industry needs to solve to transform for a greener future.
Apart from your own exhibition stand, was there another one that impressed you?
There were many cool and creative stands around the fair. One that stands out was Wartsila’s Fuel Bar! The concept was very well carried out, the design worked well, and the smoothies were excellent. We also enjoyed standing next to our friends from Washington Maritime Blue. Nor-Shipping is a great arena for meeting industry partners from around the world.
What are your hopes and expectations for Nor-Shipping 2023?
We’re getting ready for next year and can promise even more people and more events. We’re already seeing a busy schedule including many exciting partners. We want our partners to be a part of the bigger agenda throughout Nor-Shipping, and to show the world how we drive green innovations together. Our key message is: join us for collaborACTION.
