The maritime industry is a people business, and we may deal with technology, services, and solutions but it´s the human interaction that drives the success. Nor-Shipping events provides unique experiences, and it is a great arena to connect and get updated, meet the right people, and make profitable relations.
AfterWork@AkerBrygge is free for all participants and the networking area and the social hub where the industry gathers to mingle every evening. The new Nor-Shipping After Work main venue is Lekter`n. It is Oslo`s largest open-air restaurant located on the water along the quayside opposite Restaurant Louise on the Aker Brygge promenade. Lekter´n will be accessible for all Nor-Shipping delegates with available food, drinks and plenty of entertainment.
Restaurant Louise will host afterparties every night to ensure that all Nor-Shipping delegates can enjoy entertainment, dancing and mingle into the small hours of the night.
The 2025 opening ceremony will be held on Monday June 2 at Oslo City Hall.
The ceremony will set the spotlight on the 2025 theme, diversity and ocean opportunities and reveal the winners of the Nor-Shipping Young Entrepreneur Award and the Next Generation Ship Award.
The prominent guest-list includes international and Norwegian government officials, delegates from the UN, ambassadors, CEO`s and key professionals from a wide range of ocean industries.

Nor-Shipping BBQ is Norway’s largest garden party where good food, lovely drinks and entertainment sets the stage for a unique networking opportunity for the global maritime industry.
Since 1989, Nor-Shipping has hosted the BBQ party which was initially a relatively small, intimate affair but which has grown to become a sold-out highlight of Nor-Shipping week with around 2,500 participants.
We welcome you to an upgraded, better and developed BBQ on Tuesday June 3 at the spectacular grounds of DNV’s head office at Høvik, just outside Oslo.
Rumor has it that there will be unique entertainment, from the industry, on stage.
Driven by the winds from all over the world, the Nor-Shipping Regatta will demonstrate the shipping community’s ability to work together, powered by the industry’s historical roots. Harnessing the power of the wind, the regatta will have six 41 and six 35 One Design yachts competing in the inner Oslo Fjord on 2 June 2025.
