Ambrey, the leading security provider to the global maritime industry, and ScanReach the Onboard Wireless Connectivity company today announced the integration between the two development environments to take security, safety and POB control in the maritime industry to the next level.

Optimised safety and security

The cooperation between Ambrey and ScanReach allows shipowners, ship managers and maritime companies to quickly optimise safety and security. We believe that there is no “one size fits all” when it comes to helping us to support our clients with their Duty of Care obligations to their crews and vessels. The partnership will provide a multi-layered technical and security solution, providing best in class services delivered by experts in their field to help our clients to fulfil their Duty of Care obligations.

We are wholly committed to working with our clients to help them understand the threats to their people, assets and reputations, allowing them to maximise opportunities, whilst remaining safe, compliant and robust in often complex environments. It is a strategic move that is expected to strengthen both companies’ position internationally within the Maritime Industry.

Connect POB (Personnel on Board) safety

ScanReach’s breakthrough onboard wireless connectivity technology enables data to travel anywhere on the vessel without cabling. This technology enables data from sensors on a vessel’s cargo, equipment, or even personnel to provide real-time information with multiple uses from safety to vessel performance. ConnectPOB is the marine personnel safety management decision solution. In short, it allows seafarers to be located quickly in case of an onboard emergency.

Risk areas

The spread of sea piracy, in contemporary times, is not restricted to one particular sea area or zone. It has become rampant in almost each and every part of the world, with the following being some of the most dangerous for seafares to sail through; Arabian Sea, Gulf of Guinea, Malacca Straits and South China Sea.
