Join us for a groundbreaking session that places female health at the heart of leadership, retention, and inclusive progress in maritime.
Your Health. Our Wealth
This event is part of the global launch of Your Health. Our Wealth – a bold new initiative moving conversations on female health from awareness to action in the workplace and beyond. Organised in partnership with WISTA Norway and Nor-Shipping, the session brings together industry leaders, shipping executives, and change-makers for an afternoon of inspiration, reflection, and tangible next steps.
The conversation couldn’t be more urgent: in the UK, menopause alone is estimated to cost over £2 billion annually in lost working days. It’s now recognised by the UK government as a key workplace issue, with larger employers addressing it as part of Gender Pay Gap reporting. In Norway, the Grieg Foundation is funding the KLAR research project, which focuses on menopause and its impact on the workplace. The project’s overall aim is to improve health, health care, and sustainable work participation among women experiencing menopausal ailments. This initiative aligns with Norway’s national strategy on women’s health announced in October 2024, as well as broader global efforts in the field.
This is more than a conversation about menopause – it’s about female health, leadership, and equity. We’re opening the room to every voice and creating space for honest, inclusive dialogue – especially in industries where these topics have long been overlooked.
This initiative complements WISTA Norway’s 40 by 30 campaign – targeting 40% women in leadership by 2030 – and aligns with the Norwegian government’s newly announced Female Health Strategy.
Now is the time to move from listening to leading.
