World Maritime University (WMU) in Sweden, the IMO’s centre of excellence for postgraduate education, is the main Ocean Campus partner and will be present in Hall E during this year’s event, and have also signed up for partnership for Nor-Shipping 2025.
Ocean Campus gathers key universities in the maritime industry.
Given the shift in competence necessitated by the green transition, attracting more and new students to this field is critical. The Ocean Campus will demonstrate in what ways the academic sector will contribute to addressing the industry’s demands for change, while also showcasing exciting opportunities available within the maritime sector.

The Nor-Shipping Ocean Campus is an island of booths located on the recently opened Upper Deck area in hall D representing key universities and maritime schools from all over the world. This is where students can check out educational alternatives and current maritime employees can learn more about how they can top up their skills.
Representatives from the respective schools will form the “Ocean Campus committee” and will, in cooperation with industry experts, put together an exciting program. The presentations will demonstrate how these key educational institutions are preparing future maritime employees and leaders to tackle an industry in transition.
